The Geography of Thought
Macro & Micro/Book Design
I read the book ‘the Geography of the thought’. This book is talking about Eastern and Western people’s differentiations in terms of culture, languages, custom, behaviors etc. The author demonstrates with a lot of data and survey in the book why they think, approach, and solve a problem differently.
I excerpted one chapter titled ‘Growing up in the world of Objects VS Relationships’ to write my response.
How I can perceive, understand and digest the concept of original story and consider and apply it in the context of media design. I thought that like languages, Media is able to inform and structure our cognitive abilities because media have a significant effect on our six senses and we interact with them like language does. So, as a media designer, I can create essential common grounds between different people.
