Information structure, Poster, Digital art/2006
Based on the concepts described above, I attempted the following:
1.Finding ways of presenting Hangul in different forms, such as poems, newspapers, and cyber-text.
2.Applying the concepts of mutual attraction and opposition in the five elements theory. Drawing from a Korean tradition of naming persons and entities on the basis of the five elements theory.
3.Converting the units expressed in color into Hangul letters, so that the vanished pronunciations and symbols can reappear in our everyday usage.
4.Redraw several classical paintings using the color-Hangul matching.
1.12 Sunflowers by Vincent van Gogh and Self-portrait with Halo by Paul Gauguin translated into Characters (in posters and digital arts).
2.Poems, newspapers, and the Internet translated into Hangul units.
3.Yin-Yang and the five elements; mutual attraction and opposition/相生相剋 (in posters and digital arts).
